US Elections: Worst Candidate Websites

My friend and I were discussing which candidate’s site was poorly designed for this year. He emailed me a few which I thought were pretty reasonable. With only few weeks before the election, you will be surprised at some of these candidates and you will think twice before voting for them.

Bob Inglis Bob Inglis Starting with the intro, it looks as if this site is promoting a product that everyone can own right in their house. After the intro, it just gets worse since it reminds me of a brand of orange juice. That was Bob Inglis representing South Carolina’s 4th District.

Stephen LynchStephen Lynch Someone please wake him up! The elections are just weeks away and his site still remains under reconstruction. He is a very organized man. That was Stephen F. Lynch representing the 9th District of Massachusetts.

Michael IdrogoMichael Idrogo Ignoring the fact that Mike’s website consists of one clumsily long page, his meta tag looks something like this: “…Rice, Powell, Rumsfield, computer, monitor, printer, travel, hotel, jokes, yahoo, google, picture, health, ebay, hotmail…” I would say more about him but words fail me. That was Michael Idrogo for U.S. House, District 20, Texas.

Bob Goodlatte Bob Goodlatte The site has broken pictures on the front page, which wouldn’t have been so bad if he wasn’t the co-chair of the U.S. Congressional Internet Caucus. That was Congressman Bob Goodlatte representing Virginia’s 6th Congressional District.

James Wright James Wright Another site that is one page with all of its content centered. And I think he is trying to tell us something with his catchy title: “Flush the toilet, vote to remove the crap in our government.” Now thats something to die for. That was James Wright representing Texas, 8th District.

Barbara Bobo Barbara Bobo There’s a couple of page on biography but the campaign news page simply says “No news to share at the moment. Check back soon as Barbara travels the campaign trail.” There is also a snail mail address to send comments to and no phone number in the contact details. Moreover a picture, that will scare anyone away, is located on every page of the Web site. That was Barbara Bobo from Alabama’s Fourth District.

Shawn Donnell Shawn Donnell Oh the quotes! But before that, check out the blog which appears to have been published by a dog. The dog seems someone who you could vote for because I have no idea of the candidate. That is Shawn Donnell representing Virginia’s 1st District.

Kay GrangerKay Granger Wow, I am hungry now! This site has a great recipe section and don’t forget to check out the beverages. That was Kay Granger of the 12th District of Texas.

Robert SealsRobert Seals Almost all of the pages are under construction except the bio page and print-your-own bumper sticker page. A lot like the 90s. That was Robert Seals of the 2nd Congressional District of the State of California.

Happy voting!
